Photographing buildings and interiors
Here are a few guidelines for commissioning building and interior photography:
Exteriors need careful planning to ensure that elevations are shot at the best time of day for angle of sunlight
Windows and blinds should be in working order and timed lighting should be capable of being over-ridden for balanced dusk shots, if necessary
For interior shots, clients should ensure that all lights are in working order, and that there is provision for an electrician to be available with a full complement of replacement bulbs
Surrounding landscapes, windows, internal surfaces and floors are cleaned. Desks should be cleared, along with any unnecessary posters and stickers
We frequently provide items such as furniture, paintings, flowers and food for the dressing of shots and have a comprehensive list of sources. These need to be planned well in advance
Shots away from the London area are charged at the same rates but a reasonable level of hotel and sustenance is expected!
